New Immunization Requirement
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services recently revised the Immunization Requirements for School Children.
The following requirement will be implemented for all students currently in 7th grade (entering 8th grade in 2012-2013):
Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccine will be required for all incoming eighth (8th) grade students, unless they have received a Td booster in the last 2 years. After (2) years from date of Td, students will still be required to receive a Tdap.
Students are being encouraged to receive their Tdap any time between now and the start of the 2012-2013 school year. A copy of their updated record must be on file before they can legally attend school.
