Ballard is a K-12 district of approximately 120 students located on Highway 18 between Clinton and Adrian; within 1 hour south of the KC metro area, 20 minutes west of Truman Reservoir. We are a Missouri A+ School and a Former National Blue Ribbon School District offering a variety of extra-curricular activities and career/technical programs. In addition to a quality in-house instructional program and PLC framework, we recently added an expanded course catalog/RTI resource through ACELLUS.

School Counselor/RootEd Advisor
Description:
The Ballard R-II school district is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a vacancy for the School Counselor/ RootEd position. Ballard is a K-12 district of approximately 110 students located on Highway 18 between Clinton and Adrian; within 45 minutes south of the KC metro area and 20 minutes west of Truman Reservoir. A bachelor’s degree and a valid Missouri counseling certificate is required. Other certification is acceptable, but candidate must be able to obtain counseling certification within two years. Successful candidates will provide comprehensive guidance to students in grades K-12 to meet students’ needs, possess the ability to actively engage students in mastering social skills, help high school students navigate their schedule, assist student with college preparation to include scholarship opportunities and completing the FAFSA, and consult with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance decision effectiveness. Additionally, a successful candidate will have the ability to provide opportunities for individuals to achieve their maximum potential.

Music & Instrumental Teacher
The Ballard R-2 School District has an opening for a part-time vocal and instrumental music teacher. This is a half-time position. If you need a full-time position, there are other small districts nearby that may be willing to share a teacher. This position would also nicely fit the schedule of a retired teacher. A valid Missouri teaching certificate is not required but would be helpful. A successful candidate will possess (or be eager to learn) the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for individuals to achieve their maximum potential. The students are in grades K-6 vocal music and grade 5-8 for instrumental. The application and instructions are below.
