Congratulations to our two elementary students, winners of August/September Student of the Month. Lynn Pitts and Grace Doll are excellent examples of students demonstrating our character traits of “Friendship and Be Positive”! Their teachers had the following words of encouragement and kindness.
"When I hear the word friendship, I think of Grace. She is so sweet and kind to everyone around her. She is a wonderful friend and goes out of her way to make sure that no one is being left out. She is always one of the first ones to notice if someone is upset and tries to comfort them. Grace is very polite and always follows the rules. She is a joy to have in class! I am looking forward to getting to know her better as the year progresses." - Mrs. Hester
And regarding Lynn, "Lynn is a wonderful student and is always willing to help others. She is very respectful and shows responsibility in the classroom and in other areas as well. She is helpful and kind and enjoys being around her friends. She is a good friend and cares about others. She is upbeat and is a positive about every situation. Lynn has a great personality and she is almost always in a good mood. She enjoys telling stories and loves entertaining people. I am privileged to have her in my class and I am looking forward to all the big things that she will do in the future." - Mrs. Hathcock
Other teachers say, "Lynn works extremely hard in art class and uses her time wisely. Lynn rises above challenges we cannot always see. She is cooperative and helpful in Social Skills Specials to her peers."
This year, our winners for Student of the Month from the elementary grades will receive a $15.00 gift card donated by a local parent. Thank you for the commitment to our community and the donation for our students.
