Amelia Bogart and Nolan Bogart are excellent examples of students demonstrating our character traits of “Gratitude, Generosity, Empathy and Appreciation”! Their teachers had the following words of encouragement and kindness.
"Amelia is a prime example of generosity and empathy. She has a huge heart and is always one of the first to offer a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. Amelia celebrates the successes of others with enthusiasm. She is an amazing friend to her classmates and a wonderful student. Amelia is an absolute joy to have in class!" -Mrs. Hester
And regarding Nolan, "I have had the privilege of teaching Nolan twice, once in kindergarten and again this year in 4th grade. He is a good student who is curious about everything and wants to know how things work. Nolan is a good friend who cares about his fellow students. The definition of empathy is the ability to understand and share another person's feelings, experiences, and emotions. This definition describes Nolan to a T. When his classmate is missing, he is always asking if they are okay and that he misses them. He does the same when I am feeling under the weather or he notices someone is hurt. He makes sure that they are okay before moving on. He is smart and is always asking questions to figure things out. Nolan is an all-around wonderful kid and he has such a creative mind. I know that he will do amazing things in the future.” -Mrs. Hathcock
This year, our winners for Student of the Month from the elementary grades will receive a $15.00 gift card donated by a local parent. Thank you for the commitment to our community and the donation for our students.
